Who is eligible to participate?
- Mothers 18 years and older
- Children between 3 and 10 months of age
- English or Spanish is the primary language spoken in the home
- Singleton birth
- Born 36 weeks or later
- No known heart abnormalities
What does this study involve?
One on-campus research visit
- Come visit our playroom for 60-90 minutes.
- We will provide transportation, free parking, and childcare for siblings if needed.
One virtual visit & virtual surveys
- We will meet with you and your baby on a 40-60 minute Zoom call.
- You will spend 40-60 minutes filling out online surveys about you and your baby.
Three LittleBeats home recordings
- Your baby will wear LittleBeats at home for three days.
- Daylong recordings will take place over two weeks.
During the visits, we will videotape you and your child playing in different situations while wearing heart rate monitors.
Visits can be scheduled at your convenience, including on early mornings, evenings or weekends.
