Who?
This activity is for other adults in the home who have signed a consent form and will be present during LittleBeats™ recordings.
When?
Please complete this activity during one of the days that your child is wearing LittleBeats™ at home.
Why?
We aim to gather speech samples that will help our machine learning algorithms learn the difference between “baby talk” and “adult talk.”
What?
- Please make sure that:
- Your baby is wearing LittleBeats™
- The device is turned ON
- Your baby is NEARBY
- Using the sound cue below, read the Brown Bear, Brown Bear book to your baby.
- After you’re done, switch gears and read the book again as if you were talking to another adult (and not your baby).
Sound Cue
Please turn your volume up and play the sound cue below at the following times:
- Right before you begin reading the picture book to your child
- Right after you finish reading the picture book to your child
- Right before you begin reading the picture book in an adult voice
- Right after you finish reading the picture book in an adult voice
