Baby Rhythms Project

We invite you and your child to participate in the Baby Rhythms Project!

What does this study involve?

Home Visits

  • You and your child will participate in two home visits.
  • We will meet with you and your baby for approximately 90 minutes during the initial home visit and 45 minutes during the wrap-up visit.

LittleBeats Home Recordings

  • Your baby will wear LittleBeats™ at home 1 day per week for 8 weeks.
  • We will request that you complete brief surveys (approximately 2-5 minutes) on the days when they are wearing the LittleBeats device.

Online Questionnaires

  • You will complete a series of online questionnaires about you and your child.
  • These questionnaires should take 40-60 minutes per parent to complete.

During the visit, we will videotape you and your child going about your everyday routine while your child is wearing the LittleBeats™ device.

Visits can be scheduled at your convenience, including on early mornings, evenings, or weekends.

If you choose to participate, your family will receive Amazon e-gift cards as well as a personalized baby book!

Who is eligible to participate?

  • Mothers 18 years and older
  • Children between 0 and 4 months of age
  • English is the primary language spoken in the home
  • Singleton birth
  • Born 36 weeks or later
  • No known heart abnormalities
